June 2006:
Since updating the OPML Editor, I am having some anomalies while running. I now have a new main ‘NewsRiver’ menu, but the previous sub-menu still remains under the main ‘Tools’ menu?
I tried setting up the www folder under the app location Opml directory but could not re-register with my current information, it seemed to just hang. Still doing some testing. Hope I don’t break it.
The application crashes on exit occasionally, but does seem to function for the weblog, and NewsRiver subscriptions. Went back to the existing instance of the Editor when I could not register with the latest zip. I seem to have a mis-mash of old and new by selecting ‘File, Update opml.root’ and ‘Community, Get the Latest Code’.
Well posting seems fine. NewsRiver seems fine. Guess we can live with the anomalies as long as we keep on ticking. Now, where is the OPML Editor for Linux?
Regard the Linux question. I went to the draft site for the OPML Editor download, here. There is a section stating: “The OPML Editor is not available for Linux—yet! A few developers are chewing on it. Stay tuned.”
I say, keep on chewing. Hard to tell what is happening with Linux right now as the application and document sets are still churning. No complaints here, just the facts. Many thanks once again to Dave and all the OPML gang-sters!
What is the OPML Editor OS support priority?
Macintosh, WinDoze, Linux

TechSoup offers Thirteen Tips for Effective Tagging; how to mark sites so you and others can find them. I don’t pay much attention to tags or tagging in posts. Is it really effective? I do find a lot of mis-tagging though (intentional in many cases).
If this is a post, then it must be Saturday and time for WEAKending.
