June 2007:

iPhone Impressions
PC World has five fast iPhone impressions. Are lots of users waiting for iPhone 2.0? — Apple’s iPhone Stock Checker.

Sample Ruby Code for Twittergram
Quick Ruby code sample for the TwitterGram Web Service.

TwitterGram with XML-RPC for PHP
Richie Carey posted example PHP code to demonstrate how to use XML-RPC for PHP to post to Dave Winer’s Twittergram service.

Gotta love em’
The southeast love bugs do not seem to realize it is now past mid June. They normally pay a visit in mid May and mid September, then hang around about 2-3 weeks. Since the 2004/2005 hurricanes their numbers are increasing, and their visits are getting longer.

They do not bite or sting, but those that smash against your car while driving, will eat the paint away if not cleaned off in a day or two. They’re attracted by car emissions and bright colors (white and yellow, teh love bugs really love). Filling up at the gas pump with a white car is an adventure when they are swarming.

Thankfully their numbers are finally starting to thin for this May visit. See you in September!

TwitterGram Concept
Nice proof of concept Dave did for his TwitterGram idea of Twitter meets Podcasting. Some API documentation here.

And Garrick Van Buren has done a web service AppleScript client for Audio Hijack Pro already.

It will be interesting to see how the TwitterGram idea develops. For now, you can create your mini-podcast mp3 (< 200k), then load it to Twitter at Dave’s experimental Web UI. You can follow the stream of TwitterGrams at Twitter.
